Who we are
Sendbiz is run by Sendbiz Inc. (Delaware, USA), the data controller. Our representative in the European Union is LE LAB ENTREPRENEUR SAS, 120 rue Jean Jaurès, 92300 Levallois-Perret, France (see the legal notice). We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for every person on Sendbiz, wherever they live. Questions: contact@sendbiz.com.
What we keep
- Your account: name, email, password (encrypted), country.
- If you are a candidate: your profile, experience, education, skills, CV file and photo, if you add them.
- If you represent a company: the company page, its services, jobs and team.
- Technical data needed to run the site securely (logins, errors). No advertising trackers.
Who can see a candidate’s CV
A CV is never public and never indexed by search engines. By default, only companies verified in an official company register can see it. You choose in Visibility & privacy whether verified companies can find you, and whether they see your name, photo, salary expectation and CV file. Your full name, email and phone are shared only with companies you apply to, or once you accept a message.
How long we keep your data
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Candidate profile and CV | While your account is active. Deleted after 2 years without login or update, with an email warning one month before. |
| Old CV files | Deleted as soon as you upload a new CV, unless you sent it with an application. |
| CV sent with an application | Until 2 years after the company’s decision (hired or not selected). |
| A CV you upload that isn’t yours | Never kept: deleted at once if you don’t confirm it is yours. |
| Company pages and their content | While the company account is active. |
| Account data after you delete your account | Deleted at once. Backups are overwritten within 7 days. |
Companies that receive your application decide on their own how long they keep it on their side; in the EU the usual limit is 2 years after the last contact.
Why we use your data
- To run your account and show what you publish: this is needed for the service you asked for (contract).
- To verify companies, keep Sendbiz secure and prevent fraud: our legitimate interest, and that of our members.
- To send you emails about your messages, applications, opportunities and saved searches: you can stop each type at any time.
- To bill paid plans and keep invoices: a legal obligation.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Emails
Every notification email has an “Unsubscribe” link that works without logging in, and you can choose which emails you receive in your account. Emails about security, billing or the verification of your company are still sent while your account exists.
Your rights
You can see and correct your data from your dashboard, and delete your account at any time in Account. For anything else (a copy of your data, an objection, a question), write to contact@sendbiz.com. If you live in the EU you can also complain to your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
- European Union and United Kingdom: access, correction, deletion, portability, objection and restriction (GDPR and UK GDPR). In the UK you can complain to the ICO.
- California and other US states with a privacy law: right to know, correct and delete your data. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
- India: rights of access, correction, erasure and grievance under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Write to the address above.
We answer within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored in the European Union (Ireland), with Supabase. The website runs on Vercel, whose servers may process your requests in the United States, and Sendbiz Inc. is a US company. These transfers are covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses signed with our providers.
Service providers
We use Supabase (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting and anonymous audience measurement, without cookies), Resend (emails), Stripe (payments) and, only when you ask us to read your CV, OpenAI to extract its content. They process data on our behalf and may not use it for anything else.
