Questions about the forecast
Do I need to know accounting?
No. You answer questions about what you sell, what you spend and how you fund it. The tables are calculated for you, with a plain-words summary.
Over how many years?
Three years of twelve months, with cash month by month: the usual length for a business plan or a loan request.
Are taxes included?
Sales tax (VAT, GST) is left out of the figures, as lenders expect. Tax on profit uses the rate you enter. Personal income tax and country-specific social charges are not calculated: check them with an accountant.
Can I download my forecast?
Not on its own yet. Its tables, charts and 3 scenarios go into part 9 of your business plan, which you download in PDF or Word.
Is it a guarantee?
No. A forecast is a plan built on your own assumptions. It helps you decide and explain your project; it is not financial advice.
